"Diversity Day" is saved

The Walla Walla Diversity Coalition is happy to announce that the Diversity Day Multicultural Festival will be happening as planned this year. The 21st annual celebration of diversity in our community will be at Pioneer Park on June 15, (Fathers’ Day) from 11 a.m. to 6 pm.

We invite you to participate! The Walla Walla Diversity Coalition was formed in 1994 to promote communication, respect, and understanding among all members of the human community. The Walla Walla Diversity Coalition seeks to prevent discrimination against, and promotes cooperation among all members of the human community, regardless of culture, color, religion, gender, sexual identity, national or ethnic origin, age, handicap, or other differences. The Coalition would like to thank the following 2013 Freedom from Discrimination Month sponsors: Walla Walla Community College, The Walla Walla Union Bulletin and Whitman College.

Nov '14 Walla Walla Diversity Coalition Meeting

Coalition Meetings are open to the public, including agenda time for any new concerns regarding ethnic or cultural relations in our community which may be presented by any member of the public. Anyone interested in the work the coalition does is welcome to attend the next meeting, which will be on Tuesday, November 11 at noon, at the Glover Alston Center on the Whitman College campus. The hope of a culturally rich, diverse and tolerant future is widespread. Many of the goals of the Walla Walla Diversity Coalition are shared by a variety individuals and organizations in our community.
